First Time to a Nudist Resort

First Time Nudist
There’s a certain comfort level that comes with being in our natural state, sans threaded materials. You may be fine with walking around the house in your birthday suit, or even having friends over for a clothing-optional pool party, but what about sharing your nudism with strangers? For some, the idea of venturing to a nudist resort can be intimidating at best and downright scary at worst. If it’s your first time to a nudist resort, here’s a little prepper so you’ll know what to expect.

Be Comfortable in Your Own Skin
You already know you’re okay with being naked, but that’s in the comfortable surroundings of home with people who accept and love you. Really, though, what’s different about going out to a nudist resort? Everyone else will be just as naked as you are, and everyone is there to enjoy the day, the events, the pool…they’re likely struggling with some of the same issues you are. Just relax and know that you are among friends, even if you’ve not yet met them.

Know the Expectations
When you go to a fancy restaurant, you need to know which fork to use first. Likewise, there are certain rules of etiquette at a nudist resort. Most of them are pretty obvious: be respectful of others, don’t stare, don’t touch, and don’t sit on furniture without a towel between you and your bare skin. And for goodness sake, don’t show arousal. Men are often hesitant to visit a nudist resort because they feel they’ll be walking around with a continual erection. Usually, though, it doesn’t take long to realize that skin is just another outfit and it isn’t much different than walking around in clothes.

Plan to Have Fun
If this is your first time at a nudist resort, it might help to have a plan. Do some research on the place to know what events are coming up. Maybe you’re more the type who likes to enter under the radar; if so, go on a lazy day when not much is happening. If you want to do more than just dip your toes in the pool (literally and figuratively), visit a nudist resort during an event, such a volleyball tournament or Halloween party. Sometimes, it’s good to get lost in the crowd.

No matter how you plan to visit a nudist resort for the first time, keep an open mind and be ready to have fun. Nudists are a fun-loving group who will likely welcome you into the fold with a smile and laughs. Just keep your eyes up!

Moderation of the forums

After seeing the forums degenerating into nothing but name calling and bickering, I’ve decided to integrate flagging into the system. Users can now flag posts and over the next few days I’ll be analyzing the data and writing a method to automatically remove the flagged posts and topics. This should help with the SPAM as well as the flame-wars.

When using the forums, please follow the following rules.
1. Be polite, even during controversial topics, name calling is not necessary or constructive.
2. No promoting products or services on the forum.
3. Please keep the forum non-sexual. No erotic stories or topics.
4. Please do not respond to insulting or rude comments, these only prolong the degeneration of the
forum. Flag the comment and continue the discussion as if it had not happened.

If anyone has questions or comments, please use the forum topic below to discuss them.

Cameras Not Allowed

Today, everyone has a camera with him/her at all times. Cameras can be found on smartphones, tablets, and laptops, and it’s pretty rare that we’re without one of these electronic devices. If you have children and have a sitter, you no longer have to leave behind your itinerary and numbers of the restaurant, theatre, etc.; all you need is your cell phone to be reached no matter where you are.

While we have become dependent on having everything at our fingertips, with the ability to call, text, surf, or snap a picture at any moment, those handy little devices can cause some issues as well. Just go check out a sneak preview of an upcoming blockbuster and you’ll know that the theatre doesn’t allow any cell phones into the movie. Why? They’re distracting for one thing, but they’re also protecting their property, and they know that those little gadgets can quickly take pictures and video, almost with no one noticing.

The same is true at clothing-option resorts. While you want to be connected to the outside world, the owners of the property and those who are enjoying its facilities also want to protect their property and privacy. But you want access to your electronic devices to make calls, check out something on the Internet, or read a book while lounging by the pool. So what can you do to assure others that you’re not using your phone to take their picture?

TrueNudists.com is proud to introduce a specially designed sticker to cover the camera lens of your smartphone, tablet, or laptop. With this simple, easy cover-up, you’ll let everyone know that you respect his/her privacy. You’ll also be sharing with them a great resource to meet other like-minded people, and you may even strike up a new friendship with this conversation starter!

To get your very own TrueNudists.com lens sticker, just send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to .

TrueNudists.com Reaches 150,000 Users

Social Media Site Realizes 50% Growth in One Year

August 14, 2012 (Phoenix, Ariz.) — New websites are launched daily, and the world is always looking for the next big thing in social media sites. TrueNudists.com, a site designed for naturists, nudists, and those involved in the textile-free lifestyle to connect and interact, may be that site. The site grew from 0 to 100,000 in three years, but it only took another flip of the calendar to move it up to 150,000.

Like other social media sites, TrueNudists.com enables members to create a personalized profile page, post pictures and status updates, and host meetings with friends through the site. A basic free membership gives users access to the majority of the site’s offerings, while a paid membership unlocks more features. Strict privacy settings allow members to block their profiles and usage statistics from search engines, if they choose.

After reaching 100,000 members last August, TrueNudists.com was upgraded to offer additional functionality and privacy for its members. As it continues to grow exponentially, the site’s creator is taking action to ensure the content remains clean and focused on naturist activities. The site is constantly monitored to identify those who are using it inappropriately. “We want the site to be a safe haven for nudists and naturists to virtually ‘hang out’ and chat with others in the lifestyle. What TrueNudists.com is not is a pornographic site. These new upgrades allow us to quickly find and remove members who are using the site in such a manner,” shared the site’s creator.

Based on feedback from members, new features are added regularly. TrueNudists.com also hosts meetings at clothing-optional resorts to get members together. While the site may be a place to virtually meet other nudists, the whole idea is to share naturist activities. These hosted events allow that to happen.

Members of TrueNudists.com are located across the US and around the world. Often, US members use the site to find naturist-friendly locations to visit when traveling abroad. The site offers a location section that showcases resorts and other events across the globe. And since members are sprinkled near and far, it’s as easy as a mouse click to schedule small-group gatherings wherever members may find themselves.

TrueNudists.com is for everyone: singles, couples, families, young, and old. Nudism is widely enjoyed by people from all walks of life, and the site offers a way to meet others when the topic doesn’t come up easily around the work water cooler.

“We’re looking forward to expanding our presence around the world and continuing to be THE go-to social media site for nudists and naturists,” shared the site’s creator.

Where did the AANR logo go?

Where did the AANR logo go?

Well it’s been an interesting ride, at first we were accepted into their “Trusted Website” program.
Our application was approved and we were provided the “Trusted Seal”. After just a few days of
a few of the “trustees of the board” complained and required us to remove it. I know that one of
our smaller competitors is friends with a lot of the people in AANR and in my opinion believe
this may have influenced this decision.

I was denied a reason for the dismissal and even a contact to discuss the matter with, until I
threatened to notify my user base about the dismissal. I was contacted today by Jim Smock, AANR Executive
Director, who told me the reason for the dismissal was because there were some pictures that he found
that could be construed as provacative. There is always a challenge to keep the site clean, and I believe
we do a pretty good job at moderating and removing these pictures, but without completely removing the
pictures it’s not possible to notice every misplaced hand. That said, I was happy to have at least been
acknowledged and given a reason for the dismissal.

The problem that haunts me after this, is not that our site does not conform to AANR’s definition of nudism.
It’s that sites that face the same issues as us are allowed. It seems rather fishy to me that my competitors
who have the same difficulty as us in moderating pictures are allowed into the “Trusted Website” program.
Our site has the most advanced moderation techniques, every single picture is seen by a moderator, and
users have the ability to flag anything that sneaks through, our competitors do not. When I asked how this was
possible, I was told it was not something that could be discussed. I’m not going to persue this any further.
We’ve already been denied a chance to advertise with AANR in January, now the trusted website fees, and
they’ve already lost these 2 members, I hope that the money that they’re turning down is for the right reason,
and not just a friendly favor to our competitor.

When I met my husband he was a true nudist-running around the house with no clothes on and anywhere else that he could.

It kind of made me think why he was doing that as I was a business dressed lady at all times.
Then he explained to me he had found a chat room on AOL for nudists and would help me to realize that I need to relax a little and get some stress out of my busy scheduled life.
So we met a couple from the Nudist chat room that lived near by in a restaurant and talked for hours.
They showed us all kinds of information on places near by of what they had to offer and to see it wasn’t for “SWINGERS” it was actually for families and people of all sizes and shapes and colors as well as back grounds.

We met the couple another time at a get together at their apartment with others and found they were the most laid back-down to earth people I had ever met.
Then we started going to a place nears by called Empire Haven as day people since my husband worked
swing shift at a factory and I worked all the time.

We started camping in a tent a couple nights and the people at the camp was so awesome! Came over and talked to us on their walk by that if we needed a spatula or water or anything to come to their place as they were right behind us.

The people at Empire Haven in New York are the best friends now that we ever had-they are our family.
That was about 20 years ago.
Now we are full time members at Empire Haven and have been to several other resorts areond the USA as well as Nude Cruises with Bare Necessities-that is always a great time!

A friend invited me to attend a nudist house party. I did not know the hosts so I was nervous about going. I arrived fashionably late and my friend arrived far, far later. After removing my clothing in the master bedroom, I made my way to the kitchen where most of the guests had congregated. As I introduced myself to folks, I noticed a very handsome, muscular, bald man on the far side of the room who was dressed and saying his goodbye’s to the hosts. Our eyes connected but by the time I made my way to the hosts, he had hurried on his way.

Fast forward 9 months later at another nudist house party by the same hosts. I arrived on time hoping I’d see and get to speak with the bald man. As luck would have it, he was seated in the hot tub with several other guests. Our eyes met again and he returned a wonderfully, warm smile, and silent hello. Eaves dropping on the conversation, I discovered that he and the other hot tubbers wanted to have a competition to see how many folks could sit in the jacuzzi and measure how much water would be displaced afterward. (Slightly inebriated nerds? Yes!) I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to chat with him again and realized I could miss out if a ton of folks jumped in. Thinking quickly, boldly, and quite brazenly, I sat down not next to him but right down on his lap. To this day I still can’t believe that I did that – and to a complete stranger, too! Needless to say I got his attention. I have no idea if the water displacement challenge even happened because we started chatting, getting to know one another, and noting and laughing at all that we had in common. I was not even aware of anyone else. It was as if everyone disappeared. Eventually we became inseparable. That’s how I met my red-haired boyfriend! (The “carpet” held that secret.)
