Travelites members from around the Carolinas celebrated the Chinese New Year, year of the Tiger, and Mardi Gras in style with a huge variety of foods in the SC Upstate. Our hosts graciousness is very much appreciated. The weather was superb. We had fun with the Wii game console and relaxed in the hot tub; the pool table was available. A photo is being submitted for Aprils Bulletin of some of those in attendance. Attendees received small plush Mardi Gras or Chinese New Year Bears in full dress as souvenirs. A photo will be uploaded to CherisTravelites on Yahoo shortly. That site is only available to actual members.
The next event will be on February 27th at Larry's in Ridgeway, the first Oyster Roast of 2010. There will be pasta Alfredo for those who don't want the Oysters. The cost will be $8/person. I really need to know how many I need to buy oysters for no later than Feb. 24 (the Wed. before the event) so that I can order the same sweet mollusks we have gotten in the past. Your check will be your receipt. Please let me know if you need directions.
