An excellent workaround for Group members
For our Group members, one thing sadly lacking is the ability to see a list of our groups with a way to determine if any new activity has occured.
One of our compugeek members, nelsonmuntz, has provided a simple but effective way to fill that need until it is added to the site.
Step 1: get your member number, which can be found by viewing your public profile page. That can be accessed by clicking on your profile pic or your username on your home page. The URL of the page will look like this (which has my number):
http://www.truenudists.com/profiles/30196/
The underlined digits are the member number. Copy or record them.
Step 2: go to this page, adding your member # after ?id=
http://blants.com/tn/tn.php?id=30196
Step 3: a moment or three later, a basic page will appear listing all your groups in order of the last activity time, which is included on the page. It's far less complicated than fiddling around with the built-in groups function, which does NOT include any indication of activity.
Note: this page uses only information that is publicly viewable. The author of the page indicates that it does not work with private profiles, ergo it does not compromise one's security settings.
