I'm about to head down to Padre Island, again. Always like to take the family skinny dipping out on the beach, there.

Anyone have any news or status updates?

Nothing recent but last time I was down there it was Man-A-War time.
The purple jelly fish were everywhere in and out of the water.
I was popping them driving along the beach.

My wife and I often go to malaquite beach often. We park north of the barriers and walk south on the pedestrian about a half mile or so. Set up, strip down and spend the day nude. The only time we cover up is for the occasional family walking down the beach or the once daily park ranger truck. Haven't drivin south of malaquite towards Mansfield cut yet but might do it someday. 

The last time I was there was in the 1990s I believe.  It's not totally legal.  You might contact NAC to find out its current status or even one of the clubs in the Edinburg area (Sandpipers).

4-wheel drive is mandatory and drive along the hard/wet sand.  Watch the tides.
