It has been a beautiful few days on Bird Island. It got me to thinking, why not stage a clothing optional takeover of the section of the beach from just past the mailbox to the state line to protest the lack of clothing optional recreational areas...

As far as I know the nearest place to enjoy nude time on a beach near Myrtle Beach is the Bird Island Coastal Reserve on the NC/SC border. It is an unofficial place as no public space in NC is legally nude. On the reserve, past the Sunset Beach town...
