i used to shave but now i do brazillian waxing - lasts longer and hair regrowth is finer. Problem is you have to let the hair grow some before you can wax again.
Epilator
I have been using an epilator from my nose to my toes for years. At first it hurt, but after a few times the pain went away. I get no stubble and now the hair on my chest, belly and pubic hair has all but stopped coming back. My arms and legs can for week, but I prefer to go over them daily.

I shave 2 or 3 times a week but would love to find an alternative. I hate getting razor bumps. Have tried some creams with various results. Suggestions?

Change of perspective--
I have less and less to shave as my alopecia has kicked into high gear. Before I had scattered bald patches on my torso. Now it is everywhere, including my scalp and face.
So now I'm shaving head to toe every day. I estimate I've lost over 50% of the hair on my entire body, including eyebrows (would have liked to keep those).

That's a good slogan for me. I was really quite hairy all summer. Then, for a whim, I decided to shave it all off just after christmas. Now I shave every morning. I am trying something called Philips Lumea Which emits strong pulses of light to kill the hair roots. Its a fortnightly treatment repeated over two months. I'm only part way through so I'm not sure it works yet. If it does I'll be smooth permanently without shaving!
