Haulover Beach
About
It is believed that Haulover got its name from an early fisherman in the area — a man named Baker — who would regularly "haul" his sponge boat from Biscayne Bay over the thickly wooded dunes to the ocean at this spot. Mention of "Baker's Haulover" appear on maps as early as 1823. The practice was passed along through later generations of fisherman.

Nice clean beach plenty of space to spread out. There are a few families mostly couples and scatered single`s including myself. Safe with regular patrol`s by law enforcment an life guard`s on duty. The usual regulars that get carried away with the drinking they tend to stay on the north end of the beach families towards the middle
ProsLaw enforcment on duty, very friendly people around, volley ball, beach venders with chairs and umbrella`s, snakebar
Consas always regulars that are loud and drinking located to the north end
