Haulover Beach
About
It is believed that Haulover got its name from an early fisherman in the area — a man named Baker — who would regularly "haul" his sponge boat from Biscayne Bay over the thickly wooded dunes to the ocean at this spot. Mention of "Baker's Haulover" appear on maps as early as 1823. The practice was passed along through later generations of fisherman.

this beach is excellent. it is safe and patrolled often by law enforcement and beach ambassadors. there are lifeguards on duty. and it is a good mix of people. gay end to the north, couples and singles in the middle and to the south nude border. my fiance and i had a great time here.
Proseasy to get to, safe, diverse crowd
Conscrowded on weekends, like any beach. umbrella to umbrella.
A great c/o beach near Miami.

I was there in October of 2004, and can;`t believe I haven`t gone back yet. It`s a very popular c/o beach, and it doesn`t matter when you go there , it`s always crowded. The beach is clean, and well patrolled. Life guards are on duty. They have several snack bars, but are pricey so I would suggest taking your own food.
ProsVery easy to find, and away from the Miami beach crowd. A great family beach, and easy to access from the parking lot.
ConsToo hot during the summeer months, the sand is hot, and it gets very crowded early.

Nice clean beach plenty of space to spread out. There are a few families mostly couples and scatered single`s including myself. Safe with regular patrol`s by law enforcment an life guard`s on duty. The usual regulars that get carried away with the drinking they tend to stay on the north end of the beach families towards the middle
ProsLaw enforcment on duty, very friendly people around, volley ball, beach venders with chairs and umbrella`s, snakebar
Consas always regulars that are loud and drinking located to the north end
