Interests
I have a degree in Graphic Design. The year after I graduated in this area, they introduced computers so I have had to relearn it all again. I am a web developer for my company so this gives me the opportunity to really use my Graphic Design. I also love all forms of Art: I do photography, drawing, painting, Interior Design (minor degree-this also lets me dabble in architecture a bit too), and floral design. I love nature in all its glory. Hiking, canoing, boating, camping, botanical gardens, National Parks, you name it, if it has to do with nature, I love it.
Music
I pretty much like all music with the exception of some Rap/Hard Rock types. If I do not find a melody I can enjoy or lyrics that inspire me, then I have a hard time enjoying either. Other than that, I have everything from Opera to Country. In my car CD player I have a disk of combined favorites that have Andrea Bocceli, Queen, Clint Black, Sarah Brightman, Tom Wopat, Diana Krall, Josh Groban, and some dance remixes from the 90s including Cher. Like I said, a variety!
Movies
I like comedies, action, romance, drama, mysteries, animated (like Pixar or Disney), musicals and documentary types. I have no interest in horror or violence of any kind. I have never felt that human-hamburger was entertainment. Anything that messes with your mind like that or exposes you to the worst of human nature in my opinion is just giving people ideas they may try on you or me. (Trust me, I have experienced this already)

My family, those who are in the military, and some special friends who are kind beyond words.

Why do we have to assume the worst?
I attempted to join a group here that has a special interest in nude photography and graphic design.I heard nothing for months. I then questioned thegroup founderwhy there wasa delay. I was then informed that my profile did not have sufficient informationshowingmy interests to support my membership (only I was told in a very condescending way - and basically called a looker not a person of real interest).
I immediately updated my profile to show my genuine interest in these subjects (I have an Artdegree in Graphic Design and that included an extensive film-based photographic training - enough to minor in it. My reason for joining stemmed from questions on how to adapt myfilm trainingto digital more successfully now that digital has really improved). Since my profile does not have a nude photo available to non-true nudist friends, I offered the founder of this group the option to either becomea friend or I would send my nude photographs via email as proof of my interest.The founder then BRIEFLY became a friend to view my nude photographs and verified I had the sufficient interest to join. I do not makemy nude pictures public for work reasons.
I wasadvised I could reapply to join the group and I would be approved. I was then chastised for not having a more public nude picture that would have been easily accessible for the founder to see. That is very interestingsince the founder's entire profile is restricted. What a hypocrite! I think it is sad that people automatically assume the worst in others and treat you like a scammer or child. A few simple questions could have determined my veracity instead of treating me like less than worthy to be considered.
Needless to say, I am not joining and will take my interest and questions elsewhere. Luckily, there is another group just devoted to ALL types ofphotography that I have joined. Has anyone else experienced similar treatment when attempting to join a group in which you have interest?
