Sixty Four and Still Going Going Balls to the Wall
I'm Mike. For those of you who don't know me I live in North East Tennessee. I'm a Native New Yorker who discovered this area in the mid-90s and moved back here in May of 2001. I now live on a one lane road in one of the many "hollers" in the area. With three primarily wooded acres I know I found the perfect place for me to live out my years in peace. Yesterday we had steady rains all day. Becasue there was no lightning/thunder I went outdoors and walked my property in the nude. In the rain. It was so cleansing. Some of you know exactly what I mean. The sensation is so intense that one waits for an out of body experience. I just wanted to melt away and connect with all the fibers of the rest of the universe. I wanted my strands to interweave with the roots of the trees and flowers and meld into the strength of the boulders that jot my landscape and let me feel the rain just as these other nature things do. I breathe and exhale. I heal myself. I draw the strength needed to disreagard the occasional infringement of others who drive by from time to time with radios blaring. They continue down the road toward their destination. I revisit mine by breathing, exhaling, and once again feeling the rain in the quited wood just as the rocks and plants do. I have touched life.
