Interests
I love to read fiction and non-fiction (currently reading Doris Kearns Goodwin`s Team of Rivals, a fascinating study of Lincoln`s political genius), the HBO series Big Love, with a new strange interest in the vampire series True Blood. I love to garden, paint, and travel, and of course get naked as often as possible, esp, in the great outdoors.
Music
I like almost all kinds of music, even some rap, but my primary interest in music is as a means to dancing, which I love to do though I probably looking like a flopping fish when I do it. Good ol` rock and roll is no doubt my favorite and the Rolling Stones are classic, but I loved hearing Aretha at the inauguaration and at the Hollywood Bowl. Classical can woo me, but unless an opera is on the level of universal appeal, I will probably be bored.
Movies
I am a sucker for a tear jerking big screen epic, a la Titanic, but I enjoy quality indie films and foreign ones, as well. I would prefer tto spend my money on live theater (loved Avenue Q) and we usually rent movies to see at home versus going to the theater. Not a big fan of unrealistic horror but psychological thrillers can make me shudder because I think there is little the mind of humans is incapable of doing, both for good and evil.
Heroes
Well, as I already mentioned Clarence Darrow, the lawyer who fought for the underdogs and for real moral virtue is high on my list, as is anyone who stands up and shows integrity in the face of conventional morality that seems to be steeped in hypocrisy more than anything else. I admire Obama for what he is attempting to do but his desire to placate the lunatic right wing and bring the country together seems sometimes a pointless cause when there is so much that has to be done to rectify the acts that have caused us as a country to lose the moral high ground.

About Me
I retired in June 2008 as a 40 year veteran of the public school system. I continue to substitute teach, especially in the areas of English and Social Science. I spent the last 10 years of my educational career working with the Alternative Ed. kids, a challenging but heart-warming group. I was married for 30 years, have two grown children and 5 grandkids, and now live as a gay man with my loving considerably younger partner of 9 years.
I'd like to meet
I would love to have a naked sit down bare all conversation with Emerson, Shakespeare, Clarence Darrow, Lincoln, and Obama and a sprinkling of religious icons, like Jesus and Budha for interest sake, but since that isn`t possible, would love to meet some other nudists who enjoy the art of conversation on art, sex, politics, religion and aren`t offended by a few good dirty jokes.
