Interests
I enjoy walking, hiking, I adore visiting the countryside and all it has to offer. I am a keen animal lover. I very much enjoy D.I.Y. I like photography, I enjoy Gardening and being outdoors, I like to read, especially biographies. I very much enjoy listening to other peoples views, sharing experiences too, even the dull and the boring, they too have their own stories.
Music
I have a very diverse range of music, I can listen to virtually anything from Classical music to heavy rock. I also enjoy listening to live orchestras. I have a high degree of hearing loss, both conductive and sensori neural loss on the left and right side. It is not a problem to me these days, it used to be but I have overcome it, I do wear hearing aids . I have Menieres syndrome.
Movies
I tend to like the old black and white movies as they seem to have some sort of story attached to them, unlike the modern movies of today. I particularly like the old Hitchcock movies and any movies with Bette Davis. I also enjoy any movies with Thora Hird, a superb actress, incredibly funny, very capable and very sadly missed.
Heroes
Maureen Connelly-Brinker, a superb tennis player who changed the face of ladies tennis, also known as Little Mo.
