Happy Thanksgiving!!

Thanksgiving is not just a time to feast... but a good opportunity to reflect on what has blessed your life and truly made you thankful.  these are a few of my own thoughts for what i am truly thankful for:

-My parents who nurtured me with all the love they have and took care of me without hesitation, and sacrificed so much for us.  There is no way I could ever repay them in kind

-My sisterwho is funny, smart, successful, and beautiful. She is truly amazing.

-My beloved girlfriend who came into my life and brought me love.  Shes filled my heart with joy and made me feel like the luckiest man alive.  

-My friends those who were in my life in the past and made my childhood so amazing and memorable. Those who I met in college and made it the best years of my life. And everyone else since.  There are too many to name specifically, but whether we talk all the time or only once in a blue moon, they all made my life so wonderful and without them, I would never be who I am.

-For knowledge because the joy of discovering new things is a passion

-For art and music because nothing else brings me joy, or inspires and challenges me, or can takes my breath away like a good work of art or song

-For dancing which I will do with passion as long as I can stand

-For the beach where I can enjoy the sun on my skin, sand in-between my toes, and the ocean to swim and refresh my soul

-For Mother Earth the joys of living on it, the colors of its field, deserts, and oceans, and all life on it are wondrous indeed

-For life which is a journey only you can take.  With its blessings and pain, trials and triumphs, love and loss.  Life is a gift that I slowly unwrap everyday hoping to find the reason for being so blessed with so much.  But thankful for all. 

-For God who gave me the gift of life and so many to nurture and love me, and bring so much joy to my life. I hope I can bring joy and thanksgiving to others in the same way. Amen.
