Any new member of this site should take a little time to read the WELCOME! ..... to TN :) :) :) .....START HERE! page. I also recommend the following links: Site Tips & FAQ, Computer Self-Help Group, TT1s Blog section, and MORE FAQs.

What follows below was written mostly as notes to myself, but if they help you too, Ill be glad to have been of service.

1) Does the site have a search function? Unfortunately, no. Youll just have to use a search engine like Google and hope what youre looking for on this site turns up.

NEW! I keep forgetting that not everybody knows about this tip: When using Google, type in the words you want in your search and then add site:truenudists.com. This will give you all the pages Google found on True Nudists which contain the words you are searching for. This Google tip works for other sites as well.

2) Does the site have an About Us feature? The closest thing to this is the Blog maintained by the sites owner. Go to Blog on the top mast menu.

3) Does the site have a Help feature? The closest thing is poststo the forum for troubleshooting prepared by fellow members.

4) It says my profile has been viewed (pick a number) times. Have that many people actually seen my profile? Keep in mind the number includes the number of times you have looked at your own profile to see how it looked. So if you looked at it yourself at least five times, youll have to subtract five from the number indicated.

5) Does the Chat function work? I cant see anything on it. It probably depends on where you get your Internet connection. For instance, if I try to access it during a break at the office, the firewall wont allow it.

6) Why are so many profiles set in such a way that only Friends can see them? Im sure each person has his or her reason for setting the profile to Private. You may judge if you like, but try not to be obnoxious. If you have nothing nice to say, keep your fingers away from the keyboard.

7) If I click on Create A Blog, will it appear under the general Blog maintained by the site owner? No, it wont. It will be yours only, and people who want to read it will have to go to your profile page to find it. So, dont worry about disrupting anyone elses blog.

8) I wonder if a profile pic is truly that of the member or just a picture taken from a porn site. Is there any way to know? First of all, keep in mind that a picture posted here may very well have been posted elsewhere by this same person for reasons other than nudism. That does not make his or her presence here any less welcome as long as he or she follows the rules and does not try to turn this into a sex site. (Dating is an option on the profile page, so I guess we cant rule out platonic hooking up.)

That said, its also possible that a person is hiding behind a pic of someone else. There could even be a man posing as a woman or vice versa. The best guarantee against this is the Certified True Nudist designation. If the person is certified as a True Nudist, you can be sure that person is who he or she says they are.

Not everyone wants to be certified, though. In this case, you can try the following site https://www.tineye.com. Post the pic or URL of the photo you want checked and it will tell you if the pic is in use anywhere else. Then, you determine whether the same pic is being used in more than one place by the same person or if someone else is using it for a fake profile. If the photo cant be found anywhere else by that site, theres still no guarantee that its not a fake profile, but chances are its not.

9) I want to leave a comment on someones profile page. How do I do that? First, you have to be friends with that person. If that person is on your friends list (and youre on theirs) a function will appear for adding a comment.

10) Shoot! My post to the group or forum page got there twice. How do I avoid that? Never hit the submit button more than once. If the page does not change, hit the back button to get to the previous page, and then refresh it to see if your post appears. If it doesnt, then post again.

11) So how do I remove the second post? If its a post to a group or forum, the best you can do is go to the second post, click EDIT, remove the existing text, and leave a short message like, Sorry, double post.

12) After editing a post, I will hit the submit button and the Page Not Found message comes up. What do I do? Hit the back button TWICE, or as many times as needed to see your original post, then refresh the page to see your post as amended.

13) When I copy and paste something here from WORD or WordPerfect, all sorts of strange messages and symbols appear. How do I avoid that? The best thing to do is write your text in a standard text program, run it through spell-check, etc., and then save the document in plain text. If you do this using a MS Windows program, the plain text version will usually be saved in NOTEPAD. Then copy the NOTEPAD version of the text and paste to Forum, to your Group or to your blog.

14) How do I create paragraphs in my posts to groups or forum? Find the Enter key, just above the Shift key on the right of your keyboard. Hit Enter twice if you simply want to start a new paragraph. If you want to leave a line between paragraphs, hit Enter once, hit the Spacebar once, and hit Enter again.

15) How do I add a picture to a post to Forum or in my Blog? A full set of hints can be found here and there on this site. I found the ones at the Photography Nudists Group to be most helpful, notably the hints at https://www.truenudists.com/forum/viewthread.php?id=6071. Generally, load your image to your Pictures as per the site instructions. Then, go to Edit my, click on Pictures, go to the image you want and click on View Comments. Then, right-click on the picture, select Copy, then go to your message and Paste (or Ctrl + V).

16) How do I post to Gallery? Please go to my own blog entry about this here: https://www.truenudists.com/blogs/1009.

17) How do I know there wont be any unsavoury people on the site? Short answer: You dont. Its very much buyer beware. But thats not any better or worse than most sites. Some are so stringent in their efforts to keep out the bad apples that they block people who may have something vitally important to contribute. So, read a few posts by different people before judging. For example, those with open minds dont necessarily want to have sex with you. They may just be more willing to talk about a wider variety of subjects and present a wider array of opinions... including those concerning sex!

18) Why are so many people here so short? If you mean why are so many people only four feet, one inch tall, I think they probably forgot to fill in the correct information when given the chance to do so. At least, I hope thats all it is.

19) How do I change my profile photo without deleting the one that is already there? A member suggests going into "My Account", selecting "Edit My: Pictures", and clicking "Profile" underneath the desired pic. I havent needed to try this, but its worth knowing.

20) I have been getting obnoxious messages from people I no longer want to hear from. What do I do? The first thing to do is to block them. If its really serious, though, you may also want to flag them, and perhaps send a message toabuse@truenudists.com.

21) Whatabout these bulletins? Can I delete them? No. The 10 most recent are shown and they disappear one by one each time a new bulletinappears. That said, it may be useful to know that you can use the bulletin to reach all ofyour friends at once. It will go only to them, not toeveryone else.

22) How do I block someone from asking to be my friend? You cant block them per se, but you can just leave them hanging by neither approving nor denying them friendship status. They stay in limbo, so to speak.

23) Im told I have 20+ friends but I only see 20 of them. Why? The profile only shows 20 at a time. If you want to see them all, go to My Account, then down to View myand click on Friends. You will see them all.

24) My spouse/partner wants toget involved. How do I change the profile from male or femaleto thatof couple? If youre NOT certified, go to My Account, Edit, Profile, and thenclick on basic info to make whatever changes are necessary. If you are certified, you will be directed to contact True Nudists for the change to be made, and you will have to become certified all over again, but as a couple this time. (This means taking a picture of both of you clothed and nude holding a sheet of paper with your username on it.)

25) Will this FAQ ever be updated? When possible and as needed.Until next time...
