RE:Team - Anyone want to connect?
Teams' notifications can be toggled on/off. But yes, notifications require that Teams be running. This is similar to Telegram, old Skype, and many other chat programs. They have to be running, at least in the background, for notifications to appear. My gripe with Teams is that when I have it running on my PC and my phone is nearby (which also has Teams), both ding when I get a message. Skype used to be smarter and only ding one device.
