Back Home...

Most of us need to get back to life as we know it. However, I'll miss being on the cruise. Who else is missing it?

I didn't sign up for the next year's one. It is going to many ports and I've been to all of them. I'm curious to see where the 2020 will go. I'm planning on attending that one. Skip a year.

We started out going every other year as well (2013, 2015, 2017), but now we did 2018 and have booked 2019. There is a very high chance we will book 2020 as well unless they do something really crazy or it looks like Club Orient will be back up and running. We have been to most of next year's ports: Half Moon Cay (third nude cruise in a row... and totally worth it!), Cozumel (including on our first nude cruise) and Ochos Rios. We've never been to Mahogany Bay (it was on the 2014 nude cruise which we skipped) and it is set up similar to Amber Cove. Half Moon Cay is a perfect place for a nude cruise stop. In Cozumel we could do the same nude snorkeling tour we did last time. We're not big fans of Ochs Rios, so if we can get a nude excursion we will do that, otherwise maybe stay on or near the ship. Add in two nights at Cypress Cove to start off, and it should be a fun week and a half.

Back ourselves to seattle, we are missing the cruise and can't wait for 2019 (we are booked). Sure we will find plenty of things to do on next years ports. The sea days are great to catch up with new friends and play on the ship.

You will be totally spoiled and if you take a regular cruise afterwards, you will notice a big difference. You won't meet as many people and you will see much more "drama" from people who just like to complain (although we did start seeing some of that on this year's cruise, mainly in the sports bar during the Super Bowl... but I'll chalk that one up as an Eagles fan). We still go on regular cruises but never expect to really meet anyone other than during the Cruise Critic meet & greet, if there is one. How are we supposed to recruit others to share a cab to Orient Beachon our upcoming September cruise if we don't have regular dinner table-mates who can ask "what are you doing tomorrow in Sint Maarten?". Especially now that Club Orient seems to be the only attraction currently open on Orient Beach, so everyone will hear "Orient Beach isn't a viable destination right now". That already came up on our cruise critic roll call, and I mentioned that Club Orient still has their bar and a small grill going. Someone asked if Club Orient the one on the "other side" of the Jetty, so I said yes it's the nudist resort next to where Pedros Bar used to be. That person mentioned that they enjoyed walking over to the "Orient Club" beach, so maybe we have some closet nudists we can recruit.

I would be interested to know what issue you had in the Sports Bar. We were there and had a great time and as Eagles fans we sat at a table with Pats fans and were surrounded by Pats fans and didn't have an issue. The only thing I saw was some guy in a bathrobe bitch out the bar tender for some of his banter over the microphone, which I though was funny and was his way of trying to keep things fun.

In any case we are already signed up for 2019, and do hope 2020 is on a ship better suited to a nude cruise (ie more deck chairs - The Sunshine has less than the Victory and we never ended up finding a deck chair for sea days).

I'm pretty sure we were sitting right in front of you (the side near the food table and the casino). That was the issue, and the guy tried to escalate to getting a manager involved, which could have gotten the bartender fired and kicked off the ship (except that more than half the room would have probably stuck up for the bartender). He was pretty animated, too. I've never seen anyone raise their voice like that on a nude cruise before (well, maybe at the Purser's Office on disembarkation morning. Regular cruises it happens enough to expect it. It was bad enough that if I had noticed a yellow hat in the area, I would have reported him and done my best to get him kicked off the ship by Bare Necessities instead. We got to move up to sit at the bar in the 3rd quarter and I joked to the bartender that it was probably an Eagles fan that yelled at him and he laughed a little (after looking to make sure that guy wasn't within earshot). I wish I had gotten his name so I could write a really good review, just incase that other guy writes a bad one. If they get too many bad reviews, they might not get offered a new contract at the end of their current one.

Sadly I just saw your post ma_janc.

I don't remember his name now, but I did write it down at the time and I went to the Front Desk and put in a complement for him. After the cruise I also wrote to Carnival and John Heald praising him. I also gave him a very nice tip at the end of the evening and went back to the Sports Bar a few times for the rest of the cruise and tipped him well each time. The crew should not have to put up with jerks lik e that.

I have no idea who the idiot in the bathrobe was rooting for but if it was the Eagles I am embarrassed.
