I love the vintage pics of men swimming that are posted. Where were this pics found? The are fantastic. I wonder who the photographer was and how he talked them into being photographed. I would have loved to swim nude at the Y and other places with groups of men.

I've seen random pics on Tumblr and eBay once in a while. Yeah, I wish I knew the back story. A quick Google images search for "male nude vintage swim pictures" brings lots of them up.

I posted a lot of the pix after saving them from a now defunct blog. It's funny how many came from small town yearbooks and newspapers. Boys swam naked and it wasn't about being naked, it was about swimming.

i didn'y join the y till the mid 70's by then it was coed but i have read articles about school swim meets back in the 50's - 60's where the boys still swam nude but the girls swam in a swimsuit, it would have been interesting if the y would have had a policy like that when i joined as i would have swam nude.
