this has happened to me in the past when I wore a flesh colored suit, once I pulled on the waist band they were ok with the situation and went about their business

I was just standing by the water's edge with a tan colored speedo-type of suit. A sheriff started walking over to me until he got about 10 feet away and could see I wasn't naked.

Same sort of thing happened to me once. I was wearing a g-string on a South Florida beach and an officer of the law started following me as I walked down the beach. Once he got close enough to see the 1/4 inch black elastic strings he lost interest.
