The weather is getting warmer. Who wants to go hiking? Help me with naked hike locations, please.REALLY wish I could, but not yet. Well, I will soon, but sadly not on a group hike, for now. I can definitely try help with location information. If I happen to run into the group by accident...fantastic.

What areas are you considering? What days (weekdays, weekend)? How close/far from the Denver metro area? I see there is some interest from as far as Colorado Springs. I'm sure a Boulderite or two might chime in too.

I recommend a weekday if the interested people can pull it off during the week. Quieter on the trails, safer.

We definitely need a post hike report. I'm very pleased to see this being planned.

RE: nude hikes

I would love to participate in a group hike but unfortunately, my work schedule makes planning adventures difficult at best. For that reason most of my hikes are impromptu affairs where the opportunity suddenly presents itself. When it does, I'm quick to take advantage. If a hike comes together, I hope it will be posted as you just never know when the window will open...
It looks likethere isinterest from a variety of areas in the state. Might be difficult to coordinate but depending on who's interested and when they're available, you might consider one of the following:
The Orient Land Trust aka Valley View Hot Springs. A safe place to hike with the bonus of hot springs to soak in afterward. If you're there during summer, there's an evening bat flight from the mouth of the Orient mine. Sounds like an unusual event with which to end your day.Downside is it's not exactly a day trip from Denver. Haven't been here yet but it's definitely on my bucket list.
When the weather warms up a bit, the Mt. Evans Wilderness area west of Evergreen offers some out of the way spots but can't be accessed 'till mid June. This can be a great place for short naked back pack trips and hikes.
Mt Air Ranch. It's a safe place to hike any day of the week. I've never been there but understand they are a friendly bunch, have several miles of trails, and a pool in which to cool off after the hike.
Closer to home:
Dream Canyon west of Boulder. The area is frequented by nude hikers and sunbathers (some of whom reportedly behave badly) and may have visits by local law enforcement. Probably best visited on weekdays. If I can figure out how, I'll post a map to the group photo section.
Walker Ranch Open Space west of Boulder. Have to be careful here (Rangers patrol and frequent textiles)but there are some nice canyons that are a bit difficult to access and therefore lightly used. Perfect for a naked day in the sun.
If you do a little research, there are other places close to where you live waiting to be discovered. All it takes is a topo map and a little exploration to ferret out the many hidden gems Colorado has to offer. If you do visit these or other places, please post yourstories to the group - I'm sure we all would love to hear your adventures.

Regarding Dream Canyon, you can't get into it from HWY 119 (Boulder Falls). You need to go to the Upper Dream Canyon parking lot and hike down.
The Upper Dream Canyon parking lot coordinates are (plug this, as is, straight into maps.google.com and it will show you):
40.010131, -105.406510
Once parked, there are some trails up at the top. You might run onto people up there. From the parking, walk downhill on the road (away from where you drove in) and 100 feet or so later there will be a trail on the left (going West) that leads down to the river at the base of the canyon. Turn left (downstream - which is where I go) and that's your trail.
You will likely run into rock climbers, so stripping down as soon as you hit reach the water might not be the best idea. You also should not have to cross the river at any time. There is one small section that hugs the rock wall on the left side, 10 feet or so, where you might need to get your feet wet. You'll get to a very large rock, partially shaded by a tree, that is popular to sit on in the nude. This is where I mistakenly crossed the river, thinking it was the only way to go further. Wrong. Stay left, scramble up a little and back down. There is a small waterfall with a pool below it and some sand bars that might be exposed and make a good beach. More coordinates...either here, or a little further down is where I usually go:
40.007262, -105.409867
Past that and it gets into larger rocks. I didn't go further. Always keep in mind that rock climbers REALLY like this canyon. Consider them to be like spiderman. We have some of the best rock climbers in the world in Boulder. They will be climbing rock faces that may look insane to most people, but are playgrounds for them. I believe most will just ignore nudists if they see them.
Don't go on a day where there might be thunderstorms. A flash flood would ruin your day. It may be sunny in the canyon, but a storm up river could mess with your day. A good sunny day after a warm sunny spell would be ideal.
Additionally, this place is a fabulous place for artistic nude photos amongst nature. There are beautiful rock formations, trees, running water, small waterfalls...lots of spots for that in here.

WARNING: Very poor cell phone signal on the roads leading to the parking lot. No signal at all down in the canyon.

I hiked Dream Canyon today 7-2-19. Beautiful, but steep hike down to the river. Did it in the nude and found a nice rock at the bottom to sun bathe on until the clouds and the thunder said it was time to go. I didn't see anyone on the trail or at the bottom. All in all a nice hike if you can put up with the terrible road to get there

RE:nude hikes

I went on a nude hike a few days ago, at one of my favorite trails also needed to get some trail time with my dog. The trail is marked as foot and horseback use only. About 1 mile in I had a couple of Mtn bikers come up from behind, at first I covered up as they went by but he acknowledged in a friendly way that he had seen me. They continued on but as I continued up the trail I saw that they had stopped to rest on an upper trail.
We met again where the trails reconnected and they stopped to rearrange their bike load. She apologized for interrupting my hike, I told her that as long as they didn't mind then I was ok with it.
I continued on and completed a 6 mile round trip on a great Sunday afternoon.
