Among my favorite photos are the calendar shots. These gems recall decades ago, when every auto repair shop had one in the garage. Some barbershops as well. Any other locations that group members can remember?

Back in the day . Being in construction, we always had a beautiful calendar hanging in the office, right over my desk. Always brightened my day, wishing I was out in the sun too.

My uncles salvage yard. Remember those calendars with the swimsuit on clear plastic, you could lift up to see the whole beauty. He also had matchbooks (topless), and the pens you turned upside down to make the swimsuit disappear.

As a kid my friends and I would sneak around the side of the local auto mechanic to look in his window and get a peek at his nude calendar on the wall. This was true pornography for a 10 year old...LOL

Yep pornogrephy has changed, back then you rarely saw the bush, never open leg or up the center butt shot.

Calendars were often supplied by vender's, like welding and tool vendor's as customer appreciation. Bars used to hand out the small ones that stuck to the dash of the truck.

I do well remember the nude ladies calendars in local garages & parts houses primarily in the 70s. But...as we have aged, I noticed the calendars changed to the classic muscle cars of similar vintage. I am not sure which received the most attention from customers. It is just humorous to note the change...have we all turned into old guys?

In the early 80's,the Snap On tool guy and welding supplier said there were getting to be too many women in the workplaces, and a corresponding amount of complaints about the callenders. Snap On enven quit with the bikini clad models next to the cars.
