Planning the trip up Chesapeake Bay

Hey everyone,
We are starting the planning phase of our trip up the Chesapeake Bay this summer. The plan is to be in DC for the fireworks and then have a week to play around the bay before we have the boat hauled and trucked down to Kerr Lake, NC (Buggs Island Lake, VA). So the big question is where should we go and what should we go see? I think Annapolis is on the list and could be the point from which we pull the boat. So between DC and Annapolis, what can we see? Tilghman's Island? St. Michaels?

St Michael's is a must. Stay at St M Marina (formerly city dock). Really nice folks and can walk 2 blocks to center of town. Several good restaurants in town. Walk down and get an ice cream after dinner. Lot's of shops.

There is a Yahoo group dedicated to naturist sailing on the Chesapeake. You may find it worthwhile to connect with them. https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/Chesapeake/info

Yahoo groups are no longer. Does anyone know where this group is now? Do they have a new page/group on a different site?
