RE:Tucson area

A word of caution: If you look on Google Maps, do NOT take the trail marked "Upper Tanque Verde Falls Trailhead" at 32.25738, -110.65593. This trail is textile, rather steep and will take you *below* the upper falls, downstream of the clothing optional area. The trail you want is 100 yards (90 meters) further up Redington Road at 32.258, -110.6555. It heads due east, will take you right to a nice beach above the upper falls, and is clothing optional as soon as you are out of sight of the road.

Great information thanks. We are headed there the last weekend in March hopefully there will still be water!

RE:Tucson area

We'll be at Mira Vista the last full week of March. Anyone else?

We'd planned on hiking to the falls; this is good additional info. Thanks for the info. And maybe some couples want some hiking buddies.

RE:Tucson area

Tanque Verde Falls has 3 trails, ONLY the upper one is nude, it is marked with 2 bright Yellow signs off the road, the others are brown. some days there are a few nudists others up to 50. In my 21 years of hiking there I have never had any problems with anyone there, nude or clothed.
