on track for one book per week

We are in the 51st week of the year and i am reading my 51st book of the year. Quite a varied year, from political / military thrillers to adventure travel and some histories of less well known events.
What pace do you read books at? do you keep track?

I don't keep track, but I think you're ahead of me. I'm closer to two weeks per book, I think.

I find that I am more selective now about what I read, because I have so much going on in my life that I don't have as much time to read as I used to. I don't think I've ever kept track.

I haven't made the one per week. I can only count up forty, but there could be a couple that I forgot to write down. Had a couple of books for my book club that I had to force myself to read and that slowed me down. My Brilliant Friend: Neapolitan Novels, Book One, by Elena Ferrante took me a month to read and I felt like I spent that month in a loony bin! Something must have been lost in the translation.
