Its a derivative of Anoraq, an Eskimo word for waterproof hooded jacket.Its about as far away from naturism as you can get but its as relevant as a tread about underwear. My point.
And your point as well as mine have been made by the focus on asses which again has nothing to do with naturism but I suspects was the intention of reviving the post in the first place. Another indicator of how far away from naturism and nudism many of the conversations are on this site.
Conversations about nudism is certainly what this site should be about, but as they drift away from the original post, they can still be entertaining. Think of it like a Democrat watching Fox News or a Trumpian with CNN. It gives us something to yell at the screen about. I can make us feel better especially when done nude.

The drift away from anything that can be reasonably called naturism and towards body parts is what prompts questions like this posted on the Haulover Beach Reddit about people wearing butt plugs at the beach. I am sure that is of interesting to some but it has nothing to do with the intended purpose of clothing optional beaches. As long as we turn a blind eye to this festishization of naturism and nudism it allows those who simply want to pursue the sexual aspect of nudity and want validation from association with naturism.
Its how the adult film industry took advantage of hard fought freedoms gained by nudist in the 50s & 60s and how the online porn industry has captured the use of the term nudist online.
Then let's drift back. Jock straps without a cup are rather dumb. The same effect can be had with jockey shorts, and some of us feel those are unnecessary too. Since we all love to be nude, and we all must wear something at some time or other, what can we say other than being nude feels better than wearing anything?
