Who Says "Small"?
"The average flaccid, pendulous penis is 9.16 cm (3.61 inches) in length; the average erect penis is 13.12 cm (5.16 inches) long" (Science.org).
I flipped through the photos for this group and, honestly, guys, none of you look smaller than average! (And, remember what's true about averages: 50% are smaller. HALF of the guys in the world are smaller than 3.61/5.16 inches!) Plus, all of the photos I looked at showed flaccid penises, and we all know how unpredictable flaccid penis size is. (Remember the Seinfeld episode about "Shrinkage"?) In an interview with someone connected to the filming of "Naked Boys Singing" (sorry, I can't remember who), he noted that they had a terrible time trying to keep the temperature in the old building where they were filming at a consistent temperature, because when they edited shots together that were filmed at different times (and different temperatures), the temperature-caused differences in penis size were very evident!
And anyway, who gives a damn? Personally, I am turned off -- not on -- by the behemoths I see on porn, especially gay porn. I'm pretty sure a lot of those monster dongs are photoshopped! In my, granted, somewhat limited experience, I have never seen a penis as big as what I have seen in porn.
We are all different, thanks to our Creator. Let's celebrate the differences, not feel ashamed by them!
i agree i'm just shy of 4 inches hard and a 1/2 - 3/4 inch soft but i see even chat with many who believe they are small with 5-7 inch penis , i think that has to do with us all wanting more of everything including our penis. that said in my younger days i was about 5 inches hard nowdays size doesn't matter as long as it still works.
I appreciate what you wrote thanks. Im 4.5 inches hard and only a head peeping when soft as its a grower not a shower. Younger as Id thinner with no envelope of fat I was 5 inches. Unfortunately I have seen a lot of big cocks in sports showers and am always the smallest. Porn of course seeks the largest members because it sells but seeing other men with small ones is definitely sexy for me
All of this is correct, our perspective on dick size is skewered towards large sized guys due to constant bombardment of porn sized dicks. Also tv shows and movies if a male lead does a full frontal nude scene the majority of the time they are above average.
Like I know statistically I'm average maybe a bit on the smaller side. But I feel small compared to all the porn sized dicks I see.
It's not just porn, I think smaller guys are less inclined to show themselves in more 'normal' situations like locker rooms and communal showers, and those facilities are slowly disappearing. Bigger guys will usually be more likely to parade themselves in these situations, so what we see is skewed again.
Still, as someone who according to the stats is a little under average, most of the penises I see should be bigger than mine to some extent, which is true. However I'm only seeing soft ones which skews the data again...
Basically if we saw more of a cross section of normal naked guys more often I think there would be less concern with size. Im comfortable with myself and am very happy to be naked around others whatever they are packing, but that confidence has only come from years of putting myself in those situations.
I'm just over 3" flaccid so just under average but hard I'm 6" (used to be just under 7" erect when which my ex enjoyed).
Mostly in showers the other men are bigger than me but not a lot and I have seen guys with a lot smaller than me. I was in a 5-a-side football tournament for work and got a really bad blister on the sole of my foot. So I went to changing room to get it sorted. 2 people from work went past me on their way to the showers while I was trying to sort my blister. They both had tiny circumcised willies with just the heads showing from their pubic hair. They had their towels on their shoulders and they did not care a fig strolling to the showers, fair play to both of them.
So after that I thought so what we're all going to be different.
