RE:What's the Cutoff Age for Kids Running Around Naked?

The cut-off age for running is probably around 80. After that you should walk around naked instead.

Agree with most comments here. Leave them alone. Don't teach shame, instead teach them about time and place.

If they are part of a Nudist family then I would imagine it is never however some children while progressing through puberty may choose not to be nude as much but generally I feel most get through puberty seeing the changes to others be they siblings or other nudist friends.

To suggest that there is an age when kids should not be seen naked sounds like some Victorian moralist or a do-gooder that believes that all nudists are perverts for enjoying be naked. Such suggestions should be dismissed out of hand and kicked into touch.

If the parents are also nude then this is obviously does not apply. So perhaps it's a monkey-see, monkey-do sort of judgement.

I think so. I don't have any stats to back this up; but I feel that children raised "without shame" by non-nude parents might stop on their own just a few short years after those raised "with shame" anyway. They would soon enough get the sense that they're being "different" from what they're seeing at home, and "self-correct" by emulating their parent's behavior.

Seeing their parents practicing "casual nudity" by walking to and fro naked between the bathroom and the bedroom, not hiding while changing, etc...would positively reinforce the idea that nudity is natural. In other words, if you want your kids to be comfortable continuing "running around naked", first the parents have to practice it themselves.

This article concerns more non-nudist parents. The entire idea for my daughter's Mom and I was to not ever make our daughter feel that she couldn't run around naked (when practical and feasible). A big part of inculcating that idea was for us to "unashamedly" be naked around her.

Do what ever you want as an Adult, but don't try to Force your own perversion's and your own disgusting acts, onto your own small children.People like YOU....should have their Kids taken away, and rightfully so!Leave them alone, and let them be Kids!Id call the Police on you Douche Bags! You are absolutely Pathetic!I think so. I would say 18, at least where people can see,so he won't get in trouble with the law, when I have a son I'll let him run around the sprinklers nude until he doesn't want to, I wanna see my son grow up from 0 to 18 in all his glory, occasionally chuck him a complement, maybe joke if he's got an erection, just gotta teach them when it's appropriate like same withvsay masturbation I don't want him doing that outside his room or, shower, really it's just teaching them at the right age but hey if they get older and like want to go in thecsprinklers at the front with their little siblings, let him, you gotta be comfy around everyone, also it would make for a funny clip in home movie, maybe slip the footage in as his getting married

RE:What's the Cutoff Age for Kids Running Around Naked?

I imagine that kids become self-conscious of their clothes or nudity at about age 4 or 5 after which they're more likely to start cueing in how it's permissible or acceptable by society. However, I see the environment and society as much more relevant than any particular age in terms of running around naked.
As a single dad, I've always practiced casual nudity at home and there was never a period during my sons' puberty where that became awkward to them. We don't practice much social nudity because there are no public outdoor spaces and resorts discriminate against us. At times we've skinny dipped when it's felt safe. We've also been to the local Korean spa, but it gets expensive at about $150 for the three of us when their short attention span wants to move on an hour later. My kids have never been cut off from running around naked, nor have they had much time or space to run naked in. That's life in the Midwestern U.S.

I agree except thats only the cutoff because you're not a kid after 80, teenager at least... but you can runaround nude then too... but to seriously answer the question it depends on whether you live in a nudist community, are in a family friendly nudist resort, and what kind of larger social setting your family is going to be interacting with, and if you don't live in a nudist community, you're already talking with your kids about what's the same and different in other families and manners and rules and what is expected of people who aren't nudists and that following the rules other adults like friend's parents, schools, extra curricular groups etc set for you is important because you agree to those rules automatically by participating, whether you think its right or wrong, or whether you do something different at home.

To say there's an age at which it's not acceptable period and there's one where it is, and enforcing that tells them it's wrong and sooner or later, that what makes it wrong is human sexuality in our culture, because its inescapable in textile society, and from that being nude is being sexual, which isn't true, or healthy if you have a naturist family in my view (and this would be the case at any age, for that matter, even as an adult faced with this radical change I think), but to be clear, I don't get to make that decision for others, nor does anyone else outside of the parents themselves... that's a family decision to be made by parents who are raising naturist families. I just know in my experience, this is essentially what happened in mine and it was detrimental overall. We moved from a very socially liberal and hippie oriented place in the 1970s to a much more socially conservative and socially restrictive place and my parents were definitely told by family especially what wasn't acceptable and what was (cause of course my being a naturist now has come up in the elder aunts and uncle's commentary at holidays and the suggestions that it was bound to happen etc lol, and they regret those mistakes cause they all grew up on farms swimming naked cause no one had the money for classes suits bathing caps etc and some lived in one room houses just I being out and open about it causes pile on effect lol), and I remember all of a sudden having to wear clothes at home and to bed and not sharing space nude ever again except changing for swimming at the pool, and without any explanation other than this is how it is, and not liking it or understanding why, and thinking inevitably that it was something wrong with me.

Why did you have to wear clothes at home and especially in bed?

In answer to the original question, I'd suggest that running may not be the safest thing to do once one reaches an age of 90. Walking may still be fine.
