I dared myself?

Can you really dare yourself? Or is it just a decision you make to go forward?
I've walked nude at night in my Silver Spring, MD neighborhood, my Duval county San Jose, Jacksonville neighborhood. I've driven nude from PA to FL on I-81, I-77, I-26, and I-95. I've been nude on a textile beach in St. John, VI.
Is it really a dare? Before the night is over I will probably go down to my mother's very textile condominium pool on the St. Johns River in Jacksonville and skinny dip. Something I've done a time or two before.
I just don't buy this "I dared myself" mentality. It's something I decided to do and did and was cautious and it proved to be possible because people don't observe what they don't expect to see.
Simple as that.
