RE:Prostate removal

I had the surgery in June. The first week of recovery was rough, but I managed it without anything stronger than Advil. The surgery was robotic so the recovery has been quick. All the plumbing is not back to 100% but I've made good progress.

RE:Prostate removal

Had my prostate removed in 2008 by radical surgery. No complications and PSA remained undetectable for years. Last year, it started going up a little but doctor is not concerned. So, we keep checking it every 6 months. Since it was radical surgery, I can no longer get an erection and,of course, with no prostate I have no cum. Used trimix injections for several years to have sex, but, wife has pretty much lost interest in sex so stopped them. Kinda miss the feeling of getting hard, especially when I get turned on, but I've learned to live with it. Fortunately, I can still have an orgasm, so jacking is still fun (and a favorite activity, LOL).

I have had several men I know go through this and there are many possible issues you might have. Erectile dysfunction is possible. No seminal fluid or ejactulate. Pain or discomfort. Etc.

If you had radiation, there will be significant abdominal damage at the cellular level which is usually abs and lower back muscles failing and or inguinal hernias. Those are very common in most men over 50, taller more common. They push fluid down into the mons and around the scrotum and this casuses vascular constriction. You don't get enough blood to the cock or testicles and long term it causes loss of sensation, erectile dys, and even cell damage. Loss of the prostate changes the way you can orgasm. You may find your masturbation, sex oral or otherwise no longer works like it did. This is because your body has changed and you need to relearn it. Testosterone levels are important, get them measured if you don't know. Interesting fact, most prostatectomies leave some in there. You can stimulate those cells and get some vestigial function back, I have one friend who has a 8th or so and he has almost full function and feeling as his brain just mapped in the missing bits. It may also cause a small amount of seminal fluid to be produced which is good as it lubricates the vas and urethra making orgasm easier and feeling better.

Zinc 100 mg daily will put as much fluid in the system as possible without being bad for you. if your urethra is really dry, you may need to lube it, you can get that kit online (many men find the dry orgasm very uncomfortable). Some men have very severe ed. Triple mix or Caverject are the best solutions but they involve needles and not everyone is down for that. My other buddy has an implant and I have to say it looks great fully inflated and he loves it. Otherwise, touching, feeling, stroking, finding where the most sensation is now, and what speeds and pressures work for you. Hard is less important than connection with your body. Percussion, different lubes, heating or cooling there are all varieties of things to do to find new pleasure andstimulation. If you don't worry about orgasms they tend to come quicker, and vibrators and vibrating rings are great too.

Ab exercises, lower back exercises and kegels daily will help too. hope this has something you can use.

My buddy got the penile implant and after a brief bit of being embarrassed he is loving it. It pumps up fast and he stays hard until he wants it to go down, says it feels just like it always did because of course, the nerves are all on the outside. The part where he has an unlimited boner is the part where he says he's getting lots of interest.

Thanks very much for the detail.
It took me a while but with the right stimulation I can get erect but not hold it for too long. Hardest when I orgasm! That is the one good thing that I can still orgasm. Also easier without the 'mess' but I do miss not shooting cum.

Good to hear recovery is going well. Took me some time to get the plumbing back to normal although I do still get occasional small leaks. I just wear a Level 1 pad if going out.
Got my erections back after a while but dont find that viagra makes much difference! General stimulation and orgasm still good.
Exercise helps.

Yes. In 2004. I took a nose dive into depression, and could not even stand to look at myself in the mirror. Big scar and newly shortened, non-functioning cock. Healing came slowly, but the fact that l am now an unabashed nudist is testiment to how far l have come. Nudism is all about self acceptance, and l am now at a place where l can hang naked with the best of you.

I haven't had my prostate removed, but I'm having the same symptoms. I'm going to see a urologist about it. I 've always had an enlarged prostate and high PSA levels. Had a biopsy done about five years ago, but the results were negative.
