Why nudity with men matters

Profound quote:

"Maybe our hunger to know each other fully naked is in the last analysis simply our hunger to know each other fully. I want to know you with all your defenses down, all your pretenses set aside, all your secrets laid bare. Then maybe I will be brave enough to lay myself bare so that at last we can be naked together and unashamed."

Great quote...I totally agree. The Japanese have an expression to "open your kimono". It means to be completely open and bare all.

Yes, the Japanese consider nudity an offering of sincerity and friendship. There are tales of warriors who have made important diplomatic agreements while going outside to urinate together in the breeze. And also in the baths, the Japanese say "Hara o watte, hanasou" Literally it means "Let's split our gut and talk", but figuratively, it's just "let's get naked and talk." Again, it's a kind of offering of vulnerability and bringing two people down to the same level to talk and discuss.
