I also agree that it's entirely OK for a guy to walk around (and shower, and groom) naked in a men's locker room. The fact that the question is posted in a group called "Locker Room Exhibitionists" may be the reason the question is posed at all. It's not exhibitionistic to be naked in a men's locker room. There are some guys, however, who prefer to treat it that way. It's too bad.
The thing that blows my mind is that conservatism is now associated with male prudery in the men's locker room. It was entirely the opposite in the 40s and 50s.and the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s.i started going to a gym in 1979 and it would have been unheard of to cover up at that time. in fact, it would have been thought of as effeminate. it was only around 2000 that it started to change and no one knows why.but i refuse. i will always be naked in the gym locker room and sauna. thank god for the Korean spas and Russian baths, where sanity and nudity reign.
My take on why it started to change is due to this... HOME SCHOOLING!!! Kids are no longer exposed to others at school where they have to change into gym clothes with other kids. Kids are no longer exposed to being in many situations with other kids. Home schooling kept kids isolated.
But also PE (physical education) classes disappeared in schools. Hence no need to change into PE clothes, no exposure with other kids.
I go to a company owned gym and I am continually surprised at the number of men that don't shower or change in a stall. The steam room for a while even had a sign up that said proper attire must be worn. To me that meant just a towel to sit on, so that's what I do. The sign disappeared after few months. I've even had a couple guys strip when they saw that I was there naked.
Sad that the young generation are taught to hid their bodies, even from same sex.
How could it not be ok?Ill tell you. Only someone overwhelmed with perversion could even imagine there might be any problem with one male seeing another male nude.Just to be clear, its not only ok for a guy to be nude in a mens locker room, its to be expected.Paul Jones
During the 80s and 90s I used to go to my local Municipal pool and baths. On the top floor there was sauna, steam room, hot rooms etc . On men only days, everybody walked around naked, even the showers were open and communal. Nobody was bothered and if you saw the occasional erection, so what. It was an inclusive comfortable atmosphere and a good place to relax from a stressful job. When they opened a gym downstairs, a lot of younger guys started coming up wearing swimwear or shorts, which totally spoiled the atmosphere. They didn't even get changed there, but just left their stuff in the gym lockers and walked up in their shorts. Many of us stopped going..

Quite the opposite of what I have read elsewhere that when nude swimming was required at the YMCA, some men who were both swimming and doing other exercises would just strip in the locker room when they got there and do all of their exercises nude.
Oh, the good old days! When nudity did not embarrass us. Are some men afraid of being thought Gay if they are naked in male company? I am happy to be naked in public and see no shame in it. On public beaches where I cannot strip naked I wear the smallest thong and watch other guys prancing about in thigh length swimming shorts! Ridiculous!
Hope so because I don't have a towel with me when I shower. Always walk nude from the shower to the locker.
I don't care if you're naked, but it would be nice if you'd dry off in the shower area so you're not dripping water in an area that people are trying to put on clean (and dry) clothes.

Same here. After my workout I put a speedo on and go to the Sauna (they don't allow nudity) then the hot tub and pool. After I am done there I take a shower with the curtain open, wipe off as much water as possible and walk nude back to my locker. One time I walked behind a guy taking selfies in the mirror. Pretty sure I ended up in the pic. Hope so.
totally agree. All guys together naked in the locker room , showers , sauna . Male bonding at its best .
i do find some are prudish and do the towel dance but that is a ridiculous scenario in an all male environment .

in my opinion it really depends on local rules (or habits).
I might say that i constatly read online about American puritanism that leads to these kind of discussions.
I can say i live in a country, Italy, where really depends on places. I've been to pools where people is free to be nude in the lockers, some only in the shower, some no-where. (with/without kids around).
There are places in northen europe where there isn't even separation between male female.
I personaly have been in a water park in Slovenia where the sauna area is mandatory to be nude, the lockers are for everyone and you see people dressed/nude male and female all together.
I can also imagine other countries where nudisity is banned in every context.
As someone said, it's a locker you're supposed to change there, maybe not walk around if not really necessary but....see above.
