Sunrise meditation - Haulover

Thought I would at least start a new thread on here seeing as its been eons since the last post

One of my favorite places to meditate is Haulover, just before sunrise. I get there at least 30 minutes before the sunrises to settle in and just sit there in silence listening to the ocean and the birds. The beach is deserted except for a few early risers. The best time is in summer when its warm, unlike last weekend Dec 17 when the temp dipped below 70 and I had to remain clothed. Surprisingly there was a solitary nude polar bear club swimmer - not for me thanks.

Once I settle in, naked butt in the sand for grounding, sand in my hand to feel the coarseness of nature, it still takes me a while to quiet the noise in my head but when it does clear all my stress melts away. Not an easy achievement but for a moment or two one can reach a state of Nirvana.
The everyday minutiae of life dissipates and nothing really matters for a brief moment in time. Love and appreciate what nature has to offer Watch the waves and the clouds go by, smell the salt in the air, listen to the ebb and life of the ocean and feel the sand between your toes and fingers. So grounding. Gratitude and appreciation for what nature has provided to us. Better than any therapy session (not that I've ever had a therapy session)

Take nothing fore granted and appreciate what is before us. Namaste!

RE:Sunrise meditation - Haulover

I've been going to Haulover for sunrise for the past several years and it always re -centers me. I absolutely love it. I would love to have different sceneries such as a mountain or desert to meditate (as long as its warm) . Anywhere in nature would be good.

Another fantastic experience is in a sensory deprivation float tank. I've done it more than a dozen times here in Ft Lauderdale and that is always such a great experience. Time just flies by once the noise in your head subsides and you can get into a meditative state. best ever state of mind. No noise, sound, light and just floating like in the dead sea - naked of course.
