Only go on weekdays, do you ever go then?
If so, next week may be possible, this week would not be.

I went on Thursday and it was quite pleasant. Warm air, moderate wind. busy but not crowded. Water was cool but tolerable.

I really enjoy going after Labor Day when the tourists all go home, the kids are back in school, and the beach really quiets down to a local crowd. The days are warm, the water is still warm, and the air is crisp with lower heat and humidity. September is perfect month to go.

Actually went that Friday and again the following Wednesday. Somewhat hot but tolerable.
Water a little cool but bearable.
Saw more men on the path without shirts. Don't know if it is because they are realizing that there is no need for one or it is just because of the heat.
Also a few other men in just swim briefs, like me and a very few in g-strings.
Don't think I would be bold enough to cross the main park road with my entire rear showing.

Seems like such a struggle to take a shower with swimwear on by the facilities that are next to the road.
