Daily fee collection
I haven't been up yet this summer but was planning sometime in the next two weeks. I read that they now check for a parking pass on your dash in all the parking lots. I live about an hour and 45 minutes away and usually try to time it to get there before 7:30 a.m. to avoid the lines and, frankly, paying. So I read that they are now checking parking lots for parking permits which means if you arrive before they start stopping you at the gate I would have to drive back to the gate to get a pass or else get a parking ticket. Am I understanding that correctly?

Basically yes, but the day I was there they were giving warnings.
