Does anyone know of any communal showers or changing rooms in North East England? I was a regular at a pool in Jesmond, Newcastle, which used to have communal male changing. Gradually, partitions, shower curtains and cubicles took over and now there is a notice banning nudity altogether. The ease, camaraderie and bonding that used to be there has gone, replaced by mistrust and alienation. I was so upset I can't bring myself to go back. I've looked around but it seems the phobia around nudity is now pretty universal.
