Hiking in Lancashire

Hazelhirst Fell hike route
Hilly walk up mostly on stalkers track (quad bike track). Great open views across Heather moorland, really quiet and comfortable to walk nude from the car and back (I always take a wrap in case someone feels really uncomfortable or if read is busy). The bit from the trig point back to the track is not on a path, but you can always reverse the bit at the tip on the uphill path if you want to avoid finding your way through ankle deep heather.

Bleasdale Moors and Calder Valley. 16km (extended version of Hazelhurst Fell route). Starts uphill on track up Hazelhurst Fell (the top part which leaves the track to visit the trig point can be skipped if you want to stay on the track) with great, open views, then descends down to Calder Valley along a narrow path next to the stream. Many nice sheltered picnic spots along here. Tried to create a circuit, but this involved a LOT of distance through uncomfortable burnt heather. Very quiet route, not seen anyone for the whole route
