Sherwood Island Nudism?
While attending Fairfield U and for some time after I graduated back in the late 70s friends and I would go to Sherwood Island in Westport. As I recall there was a small area that was mostly used by gay guys it seemed where nudity was common. We even went a few times to Pleasure Island which I think was near Bridgeport but I've heard is now closed. After I moved to NJ I stopped going there and moved on to Gunnison at Sandy Hook. ButI'm probablyequidistant to both. So my question is, is nudity still permitted anywhere at Sherwood Island? What about Hammonasset?
I'm pretty sure it's a definite NO on Hammonasset down in Madison, CT.
I remember hearing about a section of Sherwood Island in Westport where you could "unofficially" be nude, but also heard that it was taken over by "clothed sunbathers" several years ago.
