Any other barefoot runners out there?
And I'm not talking about wearing Vibrams or any of the other "minimalist" running shoes out on the market. I mean back-to-basics, purely barefoot running.
I've been running barefoot for almost a decade now, and it adds a lot of enjoyment to the experience. It's great for my form, I've built up some strong callus, and my speed on pavement (once a weak spot) is now as good as it is on trails.
Apparently, I have the right feet for it. If you're flat-footed or have especially high arches, barefoot running could actually cause stress on the joints. Thankfully, that hasn't been my experience!
