Doctor, I Am Fully Naked!

Have you been through medical exam fully naked? How about cystoscopy and/or colonoscopy? What were the experiences like? [CYSTOSCOPY is the procedure where a doctor examines the lining of the bladder and the urethra by a cystoscope into the penis. COLONOSCOPY is the procedure where a doctor examines the colon (large intestine) and rectum by inserting a colonoscope (a long, flexible tube) into the...

Doctor Doesn't Care

I posted this elsewhere on this site but it right on point for this group.

I've been nude for physical exams since I was about 25 -- over 40 years ago. Recently encountered a few doctors who were in shock and awe at the sight of a human body -- didn't go back to them. More recently found a doctor who doesn't care.

The last two times I've been in to see him, the visits were scheduled as physical exams. I was nude when the doctor came into the exam room. No problem at all. However, he never actually conducted a physical exam. That is, beyond looking into my eyes and ears and listening to my chest, he didn't examine anything. Didn't palpate my abdomen for organomegaly masses, didn't thump anything with his mallet for reflexes, didn't exam cock or balls, didn't check for hernias, didn't put his fingers up my ass.

There was no need to be undressed at all. Didn't even need my shirt off. Regardless, he obviously doesn't care that I was nude. During the most recent visit, I brought up the subject of patient nudity during an exam -- obviously, I'm totally comfortable with it. The doctor indicated that it was a complete non-issue. Want to be naked, then be naked -- totally irrelevant.

Now, I wonder what would happen if I were nude for something lessor than a "physical exam." An ear ache or sinus infection -- probably not. Gastroenteritis? Maybe. Well, because of covid, they'd probably tell me not to come into the doctor's office -- go to the ER if it gets really bad.

But what of a UTI? The last time I was seen for one of those, the doctor (not this one) did a thorough and prolonged genital exam including a thorough and prolonged digital prostate exam. I hope I never get another UTI, but nude for such a visit might be appropriate.

Anyway, must be some reason for a visit at which nudity would not be completely out of line if not actually necessary.

RE:Doctor Doesn't Care

Now that I see a cardiologist, urologist and dermatologist at least once a year each, my primary physician doesn't have me take any clothes off.

Back in November, I was at the doctor's office for an appointment that didn't require nudity. I was nude. He didn't care.
