Hi Seawillie, the beach you remember is Marros, it's the same area but a long walk and very steep back up again. Telpyn is a bit closer to Amroth, you park in a layby and walk about 5 mins to the beach. Marros is also easier to get to from here, depending on the tides, you take the coastpath along, about 20mins to Marros.
I managed a visit earlier in the year, before the terrible weather set in.
I agree Telpyn is a good choice, if you choose the right time.
I am in Australia at the moment. Very fortunate to have had the opportunity to visit the official Sunnyside nudist beach near Melbourne yesterday.
