Return to DiscussionsArkansas is VERY naked unfriendly. I've discovered several woodland hikes where one can hike naked as long as your ready to cover up quickly. Any couples or females wanting to hike these locations with me are very welcome. The hikes can be as short or as long as you like. The longest trail I've been on is 19 miles.
Not sure about the nude-friendliness of the trails in the area, but I've spent a lot of nude time on the Buffalo River. The lower stretch, from Rush Creek landing down to the White River, is perfect for nudity. There are no other put-in/take-out accesses between Rush and the White, and that's a 23 mile stretch, so hardly anyone floats it. The smallie fishing boats from the White are blocked by the last set of rapids, plus outboards aren't allowed on the Buffalo above those rapids. There are a lot of trails around there, but I've never hiked any of those, so I can't speak to the nude possibilities. You might check some of Tim Ernst's trail books. They're not concerned with nudity, but you could get an idea of the remoteness from his descriptions and photos.
