Artistic Photos

This is a place to post your "artistic" photos for others to view and enjoy. However you choose to define "artistic" is up to each individual. The genesis of this idea for me was having taken some shadow/silhouette photos, wanting to share them, but not really knowing where to post them. They are "soft" nude photos that are more provocative than explicit. Hoping...

Debate time - female and male form

Putting aside sexual preferences - is the female form far more artistic than the male form. Or the male form the more artistic?

Arguably both genders come in various shapes and sizes, but when it all boils down to taking that amazing nude shot do you prefer one gender form than the other? If so - why?

I enjoy both genders. The photographer or artist can produce amazing and beautiful compositions with both forms. However, I think the female form is easier to work with because of the lines of the bodies and obviously more curves. Good question!

Well I see lots of female forms. But males are mostly just dick pics.

We need more artistic pictures of the male form. Male form can have amazing different looks compared to the female poses. Males have larger muscles or different shapes for the light and shadows.

Yes females are amazing to see because their sexual organs are not on display as much as a male. Yes women have breasts . But thats not hard to understand why seen by both men and women they are beautiful.

So more male artistic forms for me.

A muscular male makes for an awesome artistic or photographic subject, with or without the penis.

A good photo of a naked body is great to see, female or male. A previous comment said that too many of the male ones are just dick pics, and the comment is right. I'm not sure why these guys post poor quality photo's of themselves with legs akimbo, if they are trying to impress they fail, most are not impressive at all and if that is what they are wanting to do, do it somewhere else. This group is about artistic photo's, us being creative with a location, lighting, angles, contrasts, the lines / curves of the body as others have pointed out. So both the male & female form are good to see if there is thought and creativity put into the photo.

RE:Debate time - female and male form

Ive had a lazy day just scanning through TN when I came across this topic. Having read a few threads I am going to combine some comments into my answer. Since I was young I have always said the female form is far more attractive. As another commenter has said it is more likely because of the female curves. On the page Confident Naked there was a statement made that women in photos appear more confident because it seems men strip off far more easily. There usually are more hurdles for a woman to overcome. Maybe that adds to the intrigue of the female form. Or maybe, as another post put it that a womans sexual organs are more hidden and therefore adds to the mystique. For example it has been said a partially dressed woman can be more seductive than a naked woman. So, does a naked woman lose all of her seductiveness, even when undressed, compared to a man? When I see a female in art I see more than just her. I look for the story with the picture. To me that makes the female figure far more beautiful.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

I'll chip in my two cents and say that both are equally artistic with the right photographer.

I agree with almost everything said here. Either form can be artistic and pleasing to the eye. However, that is also a very individual thing. Someone that drawn to men will find a higher percentage of male photos pleasing, while those drawn to women find those more pleasing. I prefer photos of women, but I will say this, crotch shots of women are no more artistic than dick pics.

In my opinion, the female form is highlighted by her lovely curves. The male is a more square and muscular form, but when properly photographed, painted, or drawn, can be just as pleasing. Both are equally appealing with the right artist. With all that being said and to be truthful, if I had to choose just one, my male sexuality would win out and I'd select the female model.
