Artistic Photos

This is a place to post your "artistic" photos for others to view and enjoy. However you choose to define "artistic" is up to each individual. The genesis of this idea for me was having taken some shadow/silhouette photos, wanting to share them, but not really knowing where to post them. They are "soft" nude photos that are more provocative than explicit. Hoping...

Bunny tails and Untanned Parts

Return to Discussions

So just out of curiosity, how many people take a double take when they see a profile pic here on TN of people who say they are nudists/naturists, but then have untanned body parts ... either a bunny tail or markings from women wearing a bikini top? I personally do not like to tan unless I can be nude, and if I must, I wear strong sunscreen so my exposed parts do not tan more than my covered areas. I have been thinking of buying one of those Swim suits that allow the sun to tan you (you still have to wear like a #4 sunscreen to make things even), but still, these pictures I see make me scratch my head.

How many times has it been asked, what defines a nudist? Now we know, someone without tan lines.

I would not use that narrow of a definition. To me, a nudist/naturist is someone who prefers to live a clothing free life, or, as close as you can get. I would characterize Andy's friends in his example as nudists, even though they are often hampered by visitors.

I try really hard to have a no tans line tan but not always that easy. Now that Im swimming laps at the fitness center Im seeing a little bit of the speedo tan. I try to
Counter act it by sunning nude on my deck but dont always get to. I do keep
A shirt on when I have to wear shorts now outside which helps.

When I'm staying at a hotel and I have to wear swimming trunks, I wear my tan-throughs, which allow some of the sun's rays through the fabric. I bought them from Kiniki in the UK, although I'm sure similar items must be available in USA. Back at home I can top up my all-over tan in the garden.

You don't have to be tan all over to be a nudist. I get out of bed nude and stay nude until I have to leave the house. When at my homestead, in Florida, I work outside in shorts and shoes only. When I work out side at our SC cabin in the woods, I am nude except for shoes. A couple of times per month I go to a nudist resort and walk around nude and swim nude and sun nude and enjoy refreshing beverages nude. By some of the responses here, I would not be a nudist because I have lighter skin tone under my moobs and under my arms and on my feet and between my thighs and under my flabby butt. Just because every inch of my skin is not evenly tanned, does not stop me from being a real nudist. Any one who post pictures of themselves nude and claims to be a nudist, might just be a nudist.

Well stated nakedfolk! I have very clear tan lines. Although I am retired I don't get a great deal of time nude in the sun. I coach youth baseball and follow my grandkids all over as they play ball, always dressed of course. Shorts, shirt and shoes are my normal outside attire during the summer. Inside is another story.

I spend a lot of time outdoors in just shorts where I can't be nude, front yard work, driving my convertible, biking, walking, etc., so I do have a line between the darker tan above the waist and lighter below.

Before I found a great secluded outdoor naked spot, I wore shorts & things. Thus a stark tan line was created. Though somewhat sexy looking, I didn't like it because the damn white part made wearing thongs, bikini bottoms, and panties rather goofy looking. 2 photos attached.

Eventually, I was able to enjoy total outdoor nudity and finally fill my tan in.

I used to do a double-take when seeing tan lines on a nudist beach. But I only saw them because the person was naked. Nudist DO get tan lines when they are caught in the sun in a textile setting.

Once I went on a (textile) cruise with my sister. It included days at sea when we sunbathed on deck. I was conscious that within a week I was going nude hiking in the Alps with an international group. How could I avoid tan lines? I did wear some tan-through shorts but realized that they were effectively factor 50. So I had to use factor 50 sunblock on the parts exposed during the cruise.

Incidentally the back pack and hiking boots created some unusual tan lines during the Alpine hikes. None were in the usual places.
