Discussion question #1 How do you practice naturism in the winter months?

Return to Discussions

For those of us in the northern hemisphere we are into the winter season. Temperatures are cooler if not cold. So how do you practice naturism/nudism in the winter?

I try to stay clothes even in the winter and use a variety of things to make that possible. using a room heater to keep warm instead of trying to heat the whole house to a comfort table level. Adding another layer of blankets and continuing to sleep naked. This way a stay clothes free while I am home, cooking cleaning or just watching Netflix.

On the social front I am fortunate that the clothing optional venue near me is open year round so I can drop in for a day visit. But I like to participate in the water volleyball torments they host most weekends in the winter. Its also a great way to meet new people.

Let's hear what you do!

Great response to the first question. So at what temperature does the cold baby kick in?

Wow, 45 in Colorado is a heat wave in the winter although it has been in the 50s lately except for the past few days where its been single digits.

We enjoy the hot springs the most when the weather is cooler. We went on Sunday and the temperatures were between 20 and 35 degrees. The water was colder than usually, about 95 Degrees when its usually about 100 degrees. The cool are usually keeps you from sweating so much and you can stay on the water longer. The only issue is gettng out and going to the restroom. You are fine at first because your skin temperature is high but as the water starts to freeze, you cant wait to get back on the water.

I would also like to go to the club but the wife is only interested in going when there is something like a dance happening. Once we join, I will probably go most weekends and during the week when I am in the area.

It's a relatively warm 23 F this morning. During the winter, end up spending a lot of time in front of the fireplace with a hot beverage. I would much rather be outside in the sunshine, but naked in front of the fireplace is much better than not naked at all.

I live in the north woods, where temps won't get above 40 for the next few months. I crank up the heat in the house so I'm still naked at home much of the time--evenings and weekends, since I work. It's a small house, and I'm pretty sturdy so I don't have to set the temp too high. I will occasionally go out to the yard nude to feel the brisk air on my bare skin, very invigorating. I live in sauna country, so the gyms I go to often have men-only sauna or steam, and I take advantage of that for some social nude time. And I am fortunate that I can take a couple of warm weather trips. That gets me through the cold winter to spring and summer.

Theres not really a place for me to go to practice Judaism in the winter. The most I do is stay at home so I could be as naked as I want to be for as long as I want to be. While home I do have the heater up a little. But other than that Im just at work which is the only place I have to work clothes. I also sleep naked with my husband

Simple . . . . I live in Florida!! Duh!!! LOL

Although we have occasional cool spells, they last a few days to a week. But otherwise it's pretty much comfortable enough to go naked. Many of the local nudist resorts know that they snowbirds from up north come to FL to get naked.

Crank up the heat - not always easy on the wallet, but worth it! And for those really uber cold moments - a robe can be your best friend in the Winter! Especially darting between buildings at the resort! Oh, and THINK SPRING often! ;-)

Crank the heat up.. get the fireplace going....I also love to visit spa at casino during the winter. Not as nice as going to a Korean Spa but the men's lockers have steamroom., sauna, whirlpool and all nude. Makes for a nice day.
