I don't live in Wisconsin anymore, but this is the beach where I was introduced to social nudism many years ago. DNR closed the beach a few years back. This was a beautiful sandy beach along the Wisconsin River where public nudity was legal. Someone has started a petition to reopen the beach, which I am sharing below. Please sign this petition, even if you don't live in Wisconsin. I don't know if these online petitions do any good, but worth a shot. Thank you!

Hey, everyone! Ive started a petition to get Mazomanie Beach reopened. This was once the only public legal nude beach in Wisconsin, but instead of just banning a few troublemakers, the DNR has closed this location permanently for everyone.
The claim is that the illicit activities that took place there are deterring more tourism, but Im convinced that closing the beach entirely is doing more harm than good in that respect.
The DNR has indicated that itll be reopened after a whole revamp is done on the entire Mazomanie Bottoms State Natural Area, but were not necessarily certain when that will be or if itll go back to being a well-loved spot for naturists.
