Bicycling Nudists
Peopel that love to ride bicycles, nude,or otherwise. I would be nice to have a meet somewheres and ride for 10-100 miles on a given weekend. Such as a rails to trails conversion, or a segmetn of a highwa, such as teh Natchez Trace. OR meet up at a nudist resort, adn bring our bikes!

Anyone ride a fat bike?

Talk about miles of smiles.Even though I got mine near the end of winter I was able to get out and get enjoy the fresh albeit cold air.I plan on taking it to Gunnison Beach and do some nude riding.
Also, I'm having an itch to maybe next time I'm in Florida to ride it between Apollo and Playalinda beaches. Looks like about 13 miles of beach according to Google Earth. Not sure I would do it alone just for safety's sake and would need a backcountry permit but it looks like the entire ride could be done nude. I've done over 20 miles on snow on one ride so 13 miles of warm sunny beach would be a breeze. Anyone possibly up to this in the future?my blog: stayfitridefat.blogspot.com
i've thought about hiking apollo to playlinda a few times even yaking it but never though about biking it, yeah i heard 13 miles too, and 13 miles back so might be a great adventure. somehow after walking the length of the nude beach i'm ready to relax spash in the water and tan. i have walked a few time between 4 & 5 but i think that's only a mile or so.
oh and i presume your talking about the 29r bikes, i think they came out after i bought mine but after i thought about it i couldn't justify another bike but they are cool.
Gabare, no, most fat bikes have 26" wheels. Mine has 26" with 3.8" wide tires. They are a blast to ride
My neighbor has a fat bike. Loves it. Uses it for getting to work. but only in the winter.
Biggest problem i see with them is the cost. to keep the weight down there is a very high need to add carbon everything. (although i have ridden with a guy riding titanium ). Those Wally Mart 50 pounds are just not light enough to get any lasting pleasure out of them.
There is a thought around these parts for lighter snow. Go Half Fat. A fat tire bike fork and tire on a standard tired 29er.

They are pricey for sure. My Surly Pugsley the way I spec'd it out came in at around $2600. It weighs 32 pounds. I don't consider that too heavy for a steel framed bike. It is an absolute blast to ride dirt mud or snow.
The Waldo World specials are cheaper but like you said a heck of a lot heavier.
