Return to DiscussionsIn October I was visiting San Diego and decided I should really visit Black's Beach. I had never been to a nude beach before so just winged it! Drove to the gliderport, found the trail and just started hiking down to the beach not knowing what to expect or even how to "nude beach." The views down the hike were incredible. When I got to the beach I looked around saw a few naked sun bathers and decided to just strip! Completely naked, outside, in public for the first time ever! What a feeling! From there walked totally naked and found a place hang out. The sand, warm sun, slight breeze and ocean were all amazing! The water even felt great. It was a totally casual setting with people relaxing, walking near the water and just hanging out. It just felt so normal. It was an awesome experience and now I am hooked! I need to go back and experience all that Black's Beach has to offer! However next time I need to bring an umbrella! Would be awesome to hear your stories of Black's Beach and what you enjoy doing there too. I can't figure out how to add an image, but have one in my profile of me laying on the beach. The waves were huge that day!
Thanks for sharing your first time experience at Black's Beach and with outdoor nudity. I am inspired by your courage to just get out there and go for it. It is a little scary at first but like you, I also just went for it the first time I experienced outdoor nudity. I was with a friend at a nudist resort so I just followed his lead. He stripped down immediately in the parking lot and I did the same. After a few minutes I forgot about actually being naked around others and immersed myself in the actual experience. Im so glad I did it but regret that I didn't try it sooner. After that experience I have never looked back and have experienced naked camping and hiking as well as a few trips to nudist beaches. My first visit to Black's Beach was also in October. I stripped down at the bottom of the stairs and walked to an area just north of the volleyball nets. It was a warm, sunny weekend and the beach was pretty busy. It was a wonderful experience to share with so many others enjoying the day out there just like me. The sun and breeze on my skin was the best feeling as I walked up and down the shore taking it all in. It was such a liberating experience and I can't wait to get back there to experience it all again.
Sounds a lot like my first experience. I had never been naked in public until about four years ago. I was in Austin for work and decided to go visit Hippie Hollow. It was a week day, the temps were cool and the skies were cloudy and gray. I didnt strip down until I saw a couple of other naked people. But once I did, it felt so natural and feeling. There were only about 8-10 other people there. I stayed for about three hours.
A few weeks later, I was in San Diego for work and intentionally booked an late night flight home so I would have time for Blacks Beach. Again, it was cloudy and gray with a temp of only about 63. But I was determined! I enjoyed the hike down. I walked a bit. There werent many people on the beach that day because it was so cool and there was no sun. Once I saw my first naked person, I finally stripped down too. It was exhilarating just to be naked in that beautiful setting and to walk up the shoreline.
I was hooked! I went back a few months later and had a perfect beach day. It was sunny, about 82. I met up with a friend from this site and we hung out for about seven hours that day.
Good for you for taking those first steps! Im glad you enjoyed it. Like you, I cant wait to get back.
