Which is more British - tea or beer? I enjoy a mug of tea during the day and real ale in the evening.

Depends whether the pubs are open or not. Although I like coffee too...

RE:Tea or beer

Tea is more British than coffee and I drink tea all the time.
Beer is certainly the most British alcoholic drink, although cider - my favourite - can be hard to find in many countries other than Britain, so is that another British drink?
I drink much more tea than cider, so I see tea as "The British Drink".

It depends on what you mean. I concede that the world probably sees the "English" as tea drinkers.

However, tea is an import, while beer goes back in British history so probably has a much stronger claim.

Since the start of lockdown I've been working from home, which means that since the start of lockdown I've been (a) naked and (b) much more relaxed.

Because I can only enjoy beer when I'm relaxed, I've been enjoying much more beer since the lockdown started. I don't think I'm the only one

tea by the bucket load, and of course scones and pasties and a beach all in a basket (not the beach). But it has to be filtered water earl grey (lady grey) with milk and sugar none of that silly posh lemon and no milk crap. And in the right cup a mug at a push. One of the best things about being british is we went around the world nicking things from other countries to build our culture. Always makes me smile when i drink my tea, and peole say i am so british as they down the 5th cup of coffee

Yes, I'm with you on this one, I drink lots of tea at home during the day, but do enjoy some real ale or wine in the evening....

Being from Scotland, I probably should mention Whisky (or even Irn Bru - the other national drink) but I think I much prefer tea.
