Return to DiscussionsI just want to ask how did being a naturist affected your spiritual walk with God, more specifically with your ministry in the church, your personal ministry (fulfilling the Great Commission), and your relationships with other Christians. What are the fruits that you had of being nude?
I hope that we could all be honest in this. Both positive and negative effects are welcome. So let us know. :)

I have had far more ministry opportunities since I became a naturist. I started and lead Cypress Cove Bible Fellowship, and I have had ministry opportunities at the Cove that I would never had had otherwise. My desire is to be salt and light among the darkness and decay that is so rampant in our nudist and naturist communities.
As for my relationships with other (textile) believers: It hasn't been hurt by my naturism.
Many Christian congregations pick up on teachings from people (ministers) who are bias about the naked body.

I have found that in the Bible it does not specifically state nudity is a sin. From what I've read nudity is linked with something else that is considered bad or sinful and therefore the nudity appears to be wrong.
Nudity has helped our married walk by allowing us to feel everything, all the elements on or naked skin. We both feel that there is nothing blocking God from reaching us when we are nude. We can get away to our club and camp out without the worry of having to check to see if we are dressed properly when we leave the tent. The sun and wind on our bodies has also made our sex life quite intense and more loving. AND a little adventurous, at times...LOL!
I'm not sure if I have explained everything properly, but its all a very mental, emotional and spiritual experience.

I didn't mean to turn this into a sexual discussion, but God gave us the gifts of nudity to enjoy all of nature intimately and sex to enjoy our spouses equally as intimate. Being bare lets us feel the elements and whole person skin to skin. Husband and wife. Parents and child. You feel the whole warmth of the person.
We all know its tough to explain or get our thoughts and emotions across to non nudists. Its just that with clothing I feel closed off from people, especially my hubby. Naked I can feel a deep emotional bond that is sexually invigorating and intense.

Sadly, CaliforniaCoast, some make nudity the barrier which closes those who are nude off from them. Too often, it is spouses. They cannot separate nudity from sex. To them, to be nude is to be involved in sex. It's so frustrating, and so depressing. Oh, well.
