Christian Naturists

Christian Naturists is a group for those who put Jesus Christ as first and foremost in their life.

I suspect that I am not the only one to notice that nude/shame only became an issue after eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

RE:Garden of Eden

Ive just become aware of this discussion. First, I am more agnostic though not atheistic. Admittedly, Ive never read the Bible in its entirety nor even major portions of it. However, I did grow up hearing supposed Christian principles which clearly treated nudity as shameful and practiced the concept for most of my life and well into adulthood before beginning to explore nude sunbathing and eventually discovering the joy of nudity both alone and in a social environment.

Now, with the disclaimer, I have a question. If the fruit (apple?) of the Tree of Life or whatever term one chooses would lead to Adam and Eve committing sin by disobeying God, why was it placed in the Garden of Eden? Was it to give mankind the choice of free will, a test of whom Adam would follow? Believers will say Eve chose to listen to Satan (the serpent) and persuaded Adam to do so as well. Why was man created/designed to be imperfect while created in the image of God?

RE:Garden of Eden

Adam and Eve were designed and created as perfect. but with free will to choose who they wanted to believe and obey. Without free will to choose all we would have been is robots. And that's no fun for God or us. Our Creator took the risk to create a being that had the potential to choose another master, to rebel against their creator. However since Eve was tricked, deceived, and Adam followed out of his love for Eve. God had mercy on them and provided a way to escape. Sent His own Son to take the sin penalty so he could legally forgive them of their sin, (and all posterity by extension) And eventually restore them to their lost tropical paradise. It works almost identical to the USA legal system except for the substitution part. But in addition to legal forgiveness of law breaking, we need to quit breaking the law as well. same as we'd have to in any court or country if we broke a law. The "apple" was just a test to prove their obedience. I'd call it a nonsense test. It didn't make sense, just that God said don't do it. They needed to love and trust Him enough to obey.
Our earth is on quarantine status from the universe because of sin contamination. Once it's off quarantine everything opens up. I've come to realize that what's out there in the universe is massive. So massive it's beyond our comprehension. Millions of inhabited planets out there. And what's going on in this world impacts all of it. The sin experiment going on here and almost at it's end, will serve as a universe wide sin insurance policy. Once it's over, this world and those who get sin out of their lives and survive it, is/are destined for a compensation plan that is serious over compensation. Biggest inhabited planet in the universe, Made into Universe headquarters. The inhabitants helping out here and there around the universe as agents of the great King and Creator. Jehovah and Jesus Christ. Anyone who misses it due to unbelief or carelessness in regard to sin, will have no one to blame but themselves. And they will come to realize just how stupid they were to let anything get in their way of obtaining that eternal life that Jesus promised.
The law is simple enough and stated plainly. the 10 commandments in EX 20. People in this world are famous for all the excuses they come up with to excuse disobedience. No excuses allowed in the judgment. God's law, written with His finger on solid rock, is the final word for everyone. Transgression can be forgiven by merit of Jesus sacrifice on the cross. But in gratitude and to qualify for life beyond this world, we must conform our lives to that law.
