COLLEGE NUDISTS

This group is for those who are enrolled in any college or university and want to share their nudist experiences.

I think that maybe would be awesome that in the high school, the coach put all the boys on the lockeroom to a nude class about male puberty and body changes. It would stop the bullies and jokes about different body and break some tabus about nudity too. All nude together, coach and students.
Just a thought.

A hopeful thought but probably not happening in America any time soon. We have way too many hang ups about the nude body and hard pensis. But I think we would have far less bullying and arrogance if naked older men taught naked younger men about life. I actually saw this type of mentoring at King Spa in Chicago. An 60 something professor and his college-aged student spent an afternoon asking each other questions and talking philosophy both nude. No pretense. No sex. Just two vuleranable humans on a journey called life.

That could have happened in the 1960's. Now there is too much fear over man on man sex. Pity!

When I was Jr. high I started at the age of 10 all of the boys were required to strip down and shower after gym class. All of our coaches were there making sure there was no trouble and there never was. No one was teased or made fun of for have a different body shape or anything else. The coaches handed out the towels or were in their office doing other things but never did anything inappropriate ever happen.

That's the way it was when I was in High School. We all hit the gang showers after gym class. We had less than 10 minutes to shower and get dressed so no one had the time to worry about hiding anything or bullying anybody. I probably saw 3/4 of my classmates nude at one time or another.

RE:Gym Class

Growing up I attended a school that had a pool and part of our physical education we took swimming lessons. The pool offered an open change-room and gang showers, which we the students were expected to change and shower in front of eachother. As a young boy I was a little over weight which prompted some of the more athletic boys to tease me about my body. Looking back at the situation, as much as I would like to romantisize growing up in a time that nudism in a change room/shower was norm, the reality of the situation, for a young child that didn't look like a jock, it was a very uncomfortable period of my life. It wasn't until my early teens when I slimmed down that I became more comfortable about being nude.

I personally feel the issue isn't necessarily about nudism or exposing children to nudism. I believe it's a much bigger issue and it's about teaching a planet exceptance, possibly starting with our children from an early age to be taught empathy and love towards others and to be excepting of all people, body types, skin colors... Nudism would then just be a biproduct of an enlightened society.

In my junior high school we had communal showers and a few guys would use them, my gym teacher was hot and he would use the showers cause he also taught my science class so I had a great view of him showering after gym class everyday! So no one was really bullied then either, and I was totally in a daydream in science....
Ha!

I had kind of the same experience in Jr. High. The first day of gym class in 7th grade the gym teacher got us all into the boy's locker room and held up a jockstrap telling us that each of us had to purchase and always wear one. I and some other boys already had them so nothing new. I remember one boy pulled one out of his gym bag and began joking fooling around with it, putting it on his arm asking if it was an elbow pad and over his face saying it was a nose guard, which we all laughed at it. When the teacher regainef control he said he knew some boys would think they are strange and would be embarassed to have the other boys see ourselves exposed but he said it wouldn't matter since we were all boys and everyone had to wear one. To drive the point home he actually lowered his nylon gym pants just down to his mid-thigh to show us that he wore one. We all laughed.
I can't imagine that happening today. He also told us that showers were mandatory. He told us we would all be naked but not to feel uncomfortable and told us it would be ok and natural if we got erections. The year before in 6th grade we had all been through a puberty lecture and I think he referenced that, not sure, but I do remember he stressed the importance for showers and cleanliness and used body odor as the thing we would want to avoid. He told us he would and then always did in fact take attendance in the showers. It was a big group shower with 6 or 8 heads and 2 or 3 boys would share a shower at a time. While we were all in there he would call out our names and check us off his roster. I don't remember him showering with us in there in 7th or 8th grade but he had his own shower in his office and we saw him showering quite often and saw him naked or in various states of undress. He had been a gymnast and was very comfortable with nudity. When I was on the track team in high school the track coach and baseball coaches showered with us once in a while after practices.

Now no showers are even allowed after gym classes at either of those schools. The old gang showers at my jr. High school are used for equipment storage. Locker rooms and showers at my high school were renovated and the team sports have their own individual showers with double privacy curtains.

I think it is sad that nudity is treated with such strong restrictions. My nephews were very open with nudity as young boys but now that they are in high school they are very private about it. They play multiple sports both in and out of schools and they have never showered with other team members. The boys get into uniforms at home, are driven to school and then come home drenched in sweat smelling bad. The buses must smell awful when they have away games. Its all so odd, unhealthy and sad.
