Return to DiscussionsSo I haven't really met anyone at college who engages in social nudity. Everyone so far is out of college (who does it). I do believe it's looked down upon due to the extremely religious nature of the state (Georgia). The only people I've met at school who are interested really aren't interested in the social aspect...
I'm in the same boat. I'm still in school (because I started another degree) and even still, 98% of all nudists I've met or hung out socially with are older and out of school. which obviously isn't a problem, but it's interesting seeing so much more of the academic/younger crowd here, but never actually around in social settings
I left college a while ago. However, when I was in college I didn't do any social nudity, but did let my roommate know that I slept naked and would most likely be naked during my morning routine. All of my roommates said they were cool with that. None of them did it themselves, but they didn't have a problem with me being naked. I think it crazy that we can't feel comfortable doing our own thing b/c a lot of people are insecure or uncomfortable with a naked body. I can understand when they try to limit public nudity, but it's insane when I have to stay clothed in my own living space. It starts with communicating with your roommate(s). Unfortunately, that means we will usually have to start the conversation. But once you start it, most times it's not as awkward as you may think it will be. I still have roommates now, and have converted a few to becoming nudist. Just build up the confidence to start the conversation.
